EKT Exam details 2015- Engineering Knowledge Test 2015
Indian air force Organized Engineering Knowledge Test for B.Tech graduates for getting selection in technical field. EKT Exam is conducted along with AFCAT (II) Exam for the candidates who want to join Air Force Technical Branch. EKT is a half an hour exam held after 2 hours of AFCAT (II) – Air Force Common Admission Test.
EKT Exam Date 2015
EKT Exam is held in the last week of October.EKT Exam is mainly conducted for EEE, ECE, CSE/IT and Mechanical Branch. EKT is a basic test for testing candidate Engineering Knowledge who applied for Aeronautical Engineering Course (Mechanical & Electronics).
EKT Exam pattern 2015
EKT Exam consists of two parts-
General Engineering – 40 Questions
Specialist Paper (Aeronautical (Electronic & Mechanical), Electricals, Instrumentation, Computer, Mechanical, Electronics and Communication Engineering) – 35 Questions
EKT Exam is approximately 1 Hour exam and it is mandatory for the candidate to pass EKT Exam Part A & B for AFSB Interview.
Candidate should between 18 to 28 years of age are eligible to apply for the EKT Exam and have at least 60% marks in graduation or Engineering.
If student cleared EKT Exam he will be shortlisted for Group Interview, Psychological Test and Personal Interview.
EKT Exam include subjects like- Mathematics, Chemistry, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Computer.
EKT cut off marks of 2014
In EEE/ECE/ In CS/IT/Mechanical – 48 out of 150 Marks. This means candidate who attempt 15 questions correctly out of 50 questions can crack the EKT Exam.
EKT Exam Syllabus 2015
General Engineering – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Electrical, Computer, Electronics and Mechanical Engineering.
Computer and Electronics – Digital Electronic Circuits – Boolean Algebra, Logic Functions, Arithmetic circuits, Analog Electronic Circuits – Fourier series, Amplifiers, Sinusoidal oscillators, rectifiers, clamping, simple diode circuits, Computer Organization & Architecture – Machine Instrumentation and addressing modes, memory interface, cache and main memory, secondary storage, microprocessor, Information System & Software Engineering, Programming & Data structure, Operating System, Computer Networks and Databases.
Mechanical Engineering – Engineering Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Strength of materials, Fluid Mechanics, Theory of machines and Vibrations.
Electronics & Computer Engineering – Networks, Electromagnetic, Electronic Devices, Communications, Analog Circuits, Control System and Definition & Properties of Laplace transform, continuous time & discrete time Fourier series, continuous time, discrete time Fourier transform and Phase Delay.
