JOSSA 2015 Eligibility Criteria: Joint Seat Allocation Authority, which is commonly known as JOSAA is about to announce many important details of JOSAA. Joint Seat Allocation Authority Aspirants need to check the eligibility criteria, before getting admissions in any of the IITs, NITs, IIITs or ISM Dhanbad. Every year, thousands of students participate in JOSAA to get admissions in top IITs and NITs.
Following is the table of JOSAA Eligibility Criteria 2015, in which each and every student who wants to get admission need to gratify one or more criteria which are given below:
Criterion (i): The candidate must have qualified JEE Advanced 2015 and gratify the performance in class 10+2 or any equivalent institution according to annexure 3.
- The candidate should be in top 20 percentile (category wise) in its respective class 12th
- The candidate must have obtained 75%, if he/she is in GEN or OBC-NCL category and 70%, if he/ she is in SC, ST or PwD category.
- The candidates have to qualify the examination by fulfilling the top 20 percentile criteria, in the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and any language chosen by the candidate.
These are some key points from Annexure 3; on that basis the candidate can apply for the IITs, NITs etc.
Criterion (ii): The candidate must have qualified in JEE Advanced 2015 for preparatory courses and gratify their performance in class 12th according to annexure 3, which have already mentioned above.
Criterion (iii): The candidate should secure a good rank in JEE Mains 2015 Paper I of B.E/B.Tech and must have obtained at least 45% marks or 40% if the candidate is General or OBC, SC, ST, PwD respectively in class 12th examination or its equivalent.
Aggregate Marks will be calculated from five subjects: chosen language, Mathematics, Physics, any one of them Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or technical vocational and any fifth chosen subject.
Criterion (iv): The candidate should secure a good rank in JEE Mains 2015 Paper II of B.Arch or B.Planning and should have mathematics as a subject in class 12th.
The candidate should obtain 50% aggregate marks in total five subjects, without considering the categories.
